  1. We process personal data in accordance with Swiss data protection law, in particular the Datenschutzgesetz (DSG)
  2. We process - if and insofar as the GDPR is applicable - personal data in accordance with the following legal bases:

    • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR for the processing of personal data with the consent of the data subject.
    • Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the necessary processing of personal data for the fulfilment of a contract with the data subject and for the implementation of pre-contractual measures.

Legitimate interests are our business interest in being able to provide and advertise the offer, information security and protection against misuse and unauthorised use, the enforcement of our own legal claims and compliance with Swiss law.

Purposes of data processing

  1. We primarily use the personal data we collect to conclude and process contracts with customers, suppliers and partners. We also process data from interested parties and applicants as part of an application process. This data is managed separately and deleted immediately after completion of the process.
  2. In addition, we also process personal data of you and other persons for the following purposes, where permitted and where we deem it appropriate, in which we (and sometimes third parties) have a legitimate interest corresponding to the purpose:

    • Information on offers, services, websites and other platforms on which we are present;
    • Communication with third parties and processing their enquiries (e.g. applications, media enquiries);
    • Examination and optimisation of procedures for needs analysis for the purpose of direct customer contact and collection of personal data from publicly accessible sources for the purpose of customer acquisition;
    • Advertising and information about our services and offers (including organising events and sending out the annual report), provided you have not objected to the use of your data (if we send you advertising as an existing customer, you can object to this at any time and we will then place you on a blacklist against further advertising mailings);
    • Protection of our website against unauthorised access by bots, i.e. spam protection and protection against attacks (e.g. mass requests).

Data security and technical measures

  1. We take appropriate and suitable organisational and technical measures to ensure data protection and data security.
  2. Our website is accessed using transport encryption (SSL / TLS).

  3. Despite appropriate and suitable organisational and technical measures, the processing of personal data on the Internet can always have security gaps. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute data security.
  4. Access to our website is subject to mass surveillance without cause or suspicion and other surveillance by security authorities in Switzerland, the EU, the United States of America (USA) and other countries, as is generally the case with any use of the Internet. We cannot directly influence the corresponding processing of personal data by secret services, police forces and other security authorities.

Cookies / tracking and other technologies in connection with the use of our website

  1. For each visit to our website, we collect the following data, insofar as this is transmitted by your browser to our server infrastructure, and store this data in log files:

    • Date and time including time zone
    • Internet Protocol (IP) address
    • Access status (HTTP status code)
    • Operating system including user interface and version
    • Browser including language and version
    • individual page accessed and amount of data transferred
    • last accessed website (referrer)

    Such data may constitute personal data. The data is required to provide our services permanently, securely and reliably and to ensure data security and thus in particular the protection of personal data - also by third parties or with the help of third parties.

  2. We use tracking pixels on our website. Tracking pixels - including those from third parties whose services we use - are small images that are retrieved when you visit our website. Tracking pixels can be used to collect the same data that is transmitted from your browser to our server infrastructure. Tracking pixels are necessary in order to provide our services, including our website, in an effective, user-friendly, permanent, secure and reliable manner, in particular by analysing usage with a view to troubleshooting and improvements.

Cookies

  1. We use cookies on our website. Cookies - including those from third parties whose services we use (third-party cookies) - are text files that are stored in your browser. Cookies can be stored in your browser when you visit our website. In particular, cookies enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit our website. Cookies cannot execute programmes or transmit malware such as Trojans and viruses. Cookies are necessary in order to provide our services, including our website, in an effective, user-friendly, permanent, secure and reliable manner, in particular by analysing usage with a view to troubleshooting and improvements.

    You can completely or partially deactivate and delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Without cookies, our website may no longer be fully available. If and to the extent necessary, we will inform you directly about the use of cookies or ask you directly for your consent to cookies.

Newsletter and Marketing-E-Mails

  1. In our newsletters (Mailchimp) and other marketing emails, we also include visible and invisible image elements in some cases and to the extent permitted. By retrieving these from our servers, we can determine whether and when you have opened the email so that we can also measure and better understand how you use our offers and tailor them to you. You can block this in your email programme.

    By using our websites and agreeing to receive newsletters and other marketing emails, you consent to the use of these techniques. If you do not want this, you must set your browser or e-mail programme accordingly.

Google Analytics

  1. On our websites we sometimes use Google Analytics on. This is a service provided by third parties, which may be located in any country in the world (in the case of Google Analytics, it is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA).

    With Google Analytics, we can measure and analyse the use of the website (non-personalised). Permanent cookies set by the service provider are also used for this purpose. You can agree to these cookies in the cookie banner or reject them.

    The service provider does not receive any personal data from us (and does not store any IP addresses), but can track your use of the website, combine this information with data from other websites that you have visited and that are also tracked by the service provider, and use these findings for its own purposes (e.g. control of advertising). If you have registered with the service provider yourself, the service provider also knows you. The processing of your personal data by the service provider is then the responsibility of the service provider in accordance with its data protection provisions. The service provider only informs us how our respective website is used (no information about you personally).

    We have activated IP anonymisation on this website, i.e. the IP addresses that Google Analytics must necessarily transmit to the Google Analytics servers for visitors to the IPI websites are automatically shortened by the last digits within a very short time.

Plug-ins from social networks

  1. We also use so-called plug-ins on our websites from social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. This is visible to you in each case (typically via corresponding icons). We have configured these elements so that they are deactivated by default. If you activate them (by clicking on them), the operators of the respective social networks can register that you are on our website and where and can use this information for their purposes. The processing of your personal data is then the responsibility of this operator in accordance with its data protection provisions. We do not receive any information about you from them.

Third party services

  1. We use third-party services - also abroad, including in the United States of America (USA) - in order to provide our website in an effective, user-friendly, permanent, secure and reliable manner. Such services - including hosting and storage services - require your Internet Protocol (IP) address, as otherwise the corresponding content cannot be delivered or provided. Such services may also process other data - including cookies, log files and tracking pixels - in connection with our offering and in conjunction with information from other sources for their own statistical and technical purposes. The most important services operated by third parties are:

    • YouTube: As soon as you access a page with an embedded YouTube video, a connection to the YouTube servers is established and plug-ins from YouTube (YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA; subsidiary Google LLC) are occasionally used. YouTube is informed which page was visited from which IP address.
    • Google Maps: The map service Google Maps from Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) is occasionally used to display an interactive map and to create directions. When using Google Maps, information about your use (e.g. IP address) may be stored and transmitted to a Google server in the USA.
    • Google Ads: For advertising purposes in Google search results and on third-party websites, the so-called Google Remarketing Cookie is set when you visit our website, which automatically enables interest-based advertising by collecting and processing data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information and information about your use of our website) and by means of a pseudonymous cookie ID and based on the pages you visit. Any further data processing will only take place if you have activated the "personalised advertising" setting in your Google account. In this case, if you are logged in to Google while visiting our website, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross-device remarketing. For website analysis and event tracking, we use Google Ads Conversion Tracking to measure your subsequent usage behaviour if you have reached our website via a Google Ads advertisement. For this purpose, cookies may be used and data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information as well as information on your use of our website based on events specified by us, such as visiting a website or subscribing to a newsletter) may be collected, from which user profiles are created using pseudonyms.

Transmission of data to third parties

  1. Your personal data will not be passed on, sold or otherwise transferred to third parties unless this is for the purpose of processing the contract or you have expressly consented to this. In addition, data may be transferred to third parties if we are obliged to do so by law or by enforceable official or court order.

  2. The recipients of such data are partly in Germany, but can be anywhere in the world. If we transfer data to a country without adequate legal data protection, we ensure an adequate level of protection by using appropriate contracts or rely on the legal exceptions of consent, contract execution, the establishment, exercise or enforcement of legal claims, overriding public interests, published personal data or because it is necessary to protect the integrity of the data subjects.

  3. You can request information about the above-mentioned contractual guarantees from the aforementioned office at any time. However, we reserve the right to redact copies for reasons of data protection or confidentiality or to provide only extracts.

Duration of storage of personal data

  1. We process and store your personal data for as long as is necessary for the fulfilment of our contractual and legal obligations or otherwise for the purposes pursued with the processing, i.e. for example for the duration of the entire business relationship (from the preparation of the offer, processing to the termination of a contract) and beyond that in accordance with the statutory retention and documentation obligations. It is possible that personal data may be stored for the period in which claims can be asserted against our company and insofar as we are otherwise legally obliged or authorised to do so or legitimate business interests require this (e.g. for evidence and documentation purposes).

Rights of data subjects

  1. Data subjects whose personal data we process have the rights under Swiss data protection law. These include the right to information and the right to rectification, erasure or blocking of the processed personal data.

  2. Data subjects whose personal data we process, if and insofar as the GDPR is applicable, may request confirmation free of charge as to whether we process their personal data and, if so, information about the processing of their personal data, have the processing of their personal data restricted, exercise their right to data portability and have their personal data rectified, erased ("right to be forgotten") or blocked.

  3. Data subjects whose personal data we process, if and insofar as the GDPR is applicable, can revoke their consent at any time and object to the processing of their personal data at any time.

  4. Data subjects whose personal data we process have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent supervisory authority. The supervisory authority for data protection in Switzerland is Eidgenössische Datenschutz- und Öffentlichkeitsbeauftragte (EDÖB).
